چکیده

For the purpose of revealing whether or not hemoglobin synthesis is inhibited by the AMD, the author estimated the hemoglobin level of AMD treated anilmals by microspectrophotometer, and found that the hemoglobin levels of all the developmental stages of erythroid cells were not inhibited by the AMD. The data indicated that about one half of mRNA for hemoglobin is synthesized in the early stage of specialization with the supplementary synthesis at the later stages and all these mRNA is stable and insensitive to AMD. ∗PMID: 4244047 [PubMed indexed for MEDLINE] Copyright c ©OKAYAMA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL Acta Merl. Suppression of erythropoiesis by actinomycin D. I. Evolutional change of hemopoiesis by actinomycin D.

For the purpose of revealing whether the sensitivity of the erythropoiesis to actinomycin D (AMD) differs among different animal species, and to see the acting site of AMD on erythroid cell specialization stage, the author observed the hourly change of the blood cell counts and bone marrow cells after AMD administration to mice, rats and rabbits, and obtained the following results: 1. The data ...

Review of Effect of Storage Time before Freezing on Stem Cells Surveillance, Collected from Cord Blood, Peripheral Blood and Bone Marrow

Introduction: The use of cord stem cells, as a cell source for bone marrow reconstruction in patient under hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is enhancing. The amount of CD34+cells collected from cord blood compared to peripheral blood and bone marrow are less, but their collectionprocesure is easier. Delay in freezing has negative effect on cells surveillance and reduce their ability in ...

Comparison of the efficacy of methotrexate and actinomycin D in the treatment of patients with stage I low risk gestational tro-phoblastic neoplasia (GTN)

Background : Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) refers to malignant lesions that arise from abnormal proliferation of placental trophoblast. Even in its metastatic forms GTN is curable with a cure rate of 90-100 %. Currently, methotrexate with or without folic acid, andactinomycin D is recommended for low risk GTN. The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of methotrexate and ac...

Sperm DNA damage in mice irradiated with various doses of X-rays alone or in combination with actinomycin D or bleomycin sulfate: an in vivo study

Background: DNA damage in male germ cells due to exposure to environmental and manmade physico-chemical genotoxic agents is considered as the main cause of male infertility. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of combined modalities (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) routinely used for cancer treatment on mouse sperm chromatin in vivo. Materials and Methods: Forty-eight mice were div...
